Josie Rodriguez

BIO-

Josie Rodriguez is an accomplished Department Head Makeup Artist and proud member of IATSE Local 706, with over 15 years of on-set experience across independent film, studio features, and television. Based in the Bay Area, she is known for her technical skills, creative range, and ability to translate narrative arcs into compelling character looks.

Her work includes standout projects such as A24’s BAFTA-winning Earth Mama and Focus Features’ Sundance winner DIDI, along with acclaimed features like Black Bear, Sorry to Bother You, and The Last Black Man in San Francisco.

In 2024, Josie expanded her creative scope with her producing debut on the short film Devotee, which premiered at HollyShorts Film Festival.  She studied Digital Film and Video Production in San Francisco and continues to develop projects that blend artistry, representation, and visual storytelling.

Respected for her calm leadership, sharp continuity, and deep respect for the craft, Josie brings a cinematic approach to every face she touches.
