Josie Rodriguez is a Local 706 IATSE Makeup Artist and film maker from the Bay Area. She has worked as a Department Head on many films including Blumhouse The Manor, Shark Weeks first narrative Capsized: Blood in the Water starring Josh Duhamel, Black Bear starring Aubrey Plaza, Fairyland produced by Sofia Coppola and A24’s film Earth Mama. Both Fairyland and Earth Mama were featured and premiered this year at Sundance 2023. Her latest and soon to be released film Paint, starring Owen Wilson is set to open in theaters April 7th. Other notable films and television work include Sorry to Bother You, The Last Black Man in San Francisco and 13 Reasons Why. Josie studied Digital Film and Video Production in San Francisco and is a certified cosmetologist. Along with her 13 years in the film industry, Josie also has a long list of credits in television, and commercials work.
